Best Route for the Trip

Starting in Charlotte, simply follow I-77 South towards Rock Hill, then merge onto I-485 and continue to I-74 East. After passing through Laurel Hill, hop on US-17 South and follow signs for Sunset Beach. This is the quickest, most direct route, clocking in at just under 4 hours. Alternatively, for a more scenic drive, you can take US-29 South and then NC-24 East, which will take you through plenty of charming small towns and past scenic countryside vistas. Whichever route you choose, be sure to enjoy the ride!
