"From Braintree to Baltimore: Road Trip Fun!"

Are you ready for a road trip adventure from Braintree, Massachusetts, to Baltimore, Maryland? Fasten your seatbelt, bring some snacks and get ready to explore! Below are several routes and the estimated driving time for each path.

Route 1: I-95 South

The traditional route to take is I-95 South, which is 400 miles long. The drive takes approximately 7 hours if traffic is light. Once you hit the Connecticut-Rhode Island border, you can make a 10-minute stop at Mystic, a charming seaport village. Mystic is home to the famous Mystic Pizza and the Mystic Aquarium, where you can see beluga whales and sea lions.

Crossing the state line into Maryland, you can stop in one of Maryland's most charming small towns: Havre de Grace. This town, located at the mouth of the Susquehanna River, is home to cute boutiques and historic houses, including the beautiful Concord Point Lighthouse.

Route 2: I-84 and I-81

If you're looking to break up the trip with a scenic drive instead of the hustle and bustle of I-95, take Route 2 through Hartford and then hop on I-84 towards Scranton. Then, connect to I-81, which will bring you down to Baltimore. This route covers 486 miles and takes approximately an hour more than Route 1.

As you leave Massachusetts, stop in Sturbridge, a charming New England village that's home to a living history museum. You can watch live reenactments of Colonial life and blacksmithing.

In Scranton, you can stop at the Electric City Trolley Museum, where you can take a trolley ride through this historic coal-mining town. As you enter Maryland, make a stop in historic Frederick. Take a walk down the Carroll Creek Promenade and see the 40 sculptures along the way.

Route 3: The Coastal Route

If you've got more time to spare and you're looking for a more scenic drive, take Route 3. This route will take you through Cape Cod, Martha's Vineyard and the New England coastline before connecting with I-95 in New Haven, CT. This route is 625 miles long and takes approximately 12 hours without traffic.

Cape Cod is home to numerous historic lighthouses, beaches and harbors. Preserve the charming village of Woods Hole, the departure point for the ferry to Martha's Vineyard, where there is plenty of beach time and quaint boutique shops.

Along the Connecticut coast, stop in the charming towns of Mystic and Stonington. You can take a schooner ride from Mystic to see the highlights of the Mystic Seaport. And finally, before joining I-95, stop in New Haven and grab an original Louis' Lunch hamburger, the first-ever hamburger served in the U.S!

No matter which route you choose, there are plenty of exciting stops along the way to explore and enjoy. Bon voyage!
