Boston to Stoneham: Taking the Scenic Route

For those who want to get a taste of the lovely historic towns in Massachusetts, there is a scenic route that takes US-1 North out of Boston. This highway takes you through the towns of Lynnfield, Wakefield, and Reading before arriving in Stoneham. This route is only two miles longer than the first route, but it takes about ten minutes longer. If you have some extra time, take a break and visit the colonial houses and cute small businesses in Wakefield.
Route 3: The Coastal Route
If the weather is nice and you have the time, there is another scenic route for you to explore. Consider taking Route 1A North out of Boston and make stops at the beautiful beaches of Revere, Chelsea, and Nahant. This route is 26.9 miles long and takes about an hour without traffic.
