Route 1: I-75 N and I-275 W

Distance: Approximately 125 miles. Travel Time: Approximately 2 hours.

This route takes you up the western coast of Florida, following the major highways I-75 and I-275. It's the fastest route, but it's mostly just highway driving, so you won't see much scenery along the way. However, you'll get to Clearwater quickly and have plenty of time to explore the city.

Route 2: US-41 N and US-19 N

Distance: Approximately 137 miles. Travel Time: Approximately 3 hours.

This route is a little longer than the first one, but it takes you through some of the more scenic parts of Florida. You'll drive through coastal towns and past beautiful beaches, so it's a great option if you want to soak up the sunshine and take in the sights.

Recommendations: One point to consider stopping is the Manatee Village Historical Park in Bradenton. You can explore life in Florida around the turn of the 19th century and watch blacksmiths and carpenters at work.

Route 3: FL-29 N and FL-70 W

This route takes you through the heart of Florida and offers a look at life outside of the bustling metropolitan areas. You'll drive through small towns and rolling countryside, so it's perfect if you want a more tranquil road trip experience.

No matter which route you choose, there are plenty of exciting destinations in Clearwater to explore once you arrive. You could spend a day at Clearwater Beach or try some fresh seafood at one of the many restaurants in the area. You could also check out the Clearwater Marine Aquarium, home to Winter the Dolphin of the movie Dolphin Tale.

No matter which route you choose, make sure to stay safe on the road and have a fun trip!
