You’ll get a chance to see some stunning desert landscapes and pass through the Rocky Mountains. We recommend stopping by the Arches National Park in Utah for some hiking and sightseeing.

The Northern Route: Via US-20 and I-25

Lastly, for a more northern route, consider taking US-20 through Oregon, crossing over into Idaho and joining I-15 to Montana. From there, take I-25 into Colorado and on to Commerce City. This route is about 1105 miles long and takes around 17 hours of driving time. You’ll pass through farmlands, rolling hills, and some cities like Cheyenne and Fort Collins. We recommend stopping by the Craters of the Moon National Monument in Idaho and the Rocky Mountain National Park in Colorado.
