Road Tripping from Blairsville to Boston: A Journey to Remember
Pack your bags and start your engines, because we're hitting the road from Blairsville, Pennsylvania, to Boston, Massachusetts! While there are several routes you can take, each with its own scenic views and stops along the way, we'll break down the top options for you to choose from.
Route 1: Through New York City
Distance: 448 miles Drive time: 8 hours, 20 minutes
One of the most popular routes is to go through New York City, where you'll get to see the city skyline and all it has to offer. From Blairsville, hop on I-76 E and merge onto I-80 E. At exit 35, take I-81 S and continue onto the George Washington Bridge. Once you've made it into New York, merge onto I-95 N towards New Haven, Connecticut, where you'll eventually reach Boston.
While this route may take a little longer due to traffic in NYC, it's worth it to stop and take in the sights of one of America's most famous cities.
Route 2: Through Philadelphia
Distance: 399 miles Drive time: 7 hours, 15 minutes
Another option is to head towards Philadelphia before making your way to Boston. From Blairsville, take US-22 E to I-99 N and then onto I-76 E. Take exit 328A to merge onto I-476 N toward Plymouth Meeting. From there, merge onto I-276 E and then onto I-95 N towards Trenton, NJ and eventually, Boston.
This route will give you a chance to see the City of Brotherly Love and grab some cheesesteak while you're at it.
Route 3: Through the Appalachian Mountains
Distance: 448 miles Drive time: 8 hours, 5 minutes
If you're in the mood for a scenic drive, we recommend taking a route through the Appalachian Mountains. From Blairsville, get on US-22 E and then onto I-99 N. Take exit 62 for PA-36 S and follow it for 32 miles until you reach US-220 N. Follow that for another 150 miles until you reach I-88 E, which will take you towards Boston.
While this drive may take a little longer, you'll have stunning views of the mountains and the opportunity to stop at some of the quaint towns along the way.
