Route 1: I-90 E
Distance: 34.1 miles Estimated Time: 36 minutes
For a quick trip, take I-90 E. It’s a straight shot from Blackstone to Framingham, and it should only take you about 36 minutes to travel the distance.
Tip: Why not stop for a quick bite to eat at the Natick Mall, which is less than a mile from Exit 13 on I-90 E?
Route 2: MA-146 N and I-90 E
Distance: 41.4 miles Estimated Time: 44 minutes
If you want a slightly longer route to avoid the tolls in I-90 E, you can take MA-146 N and switch to I-90 E.
Tip: Don’t forget to stop by Purgatory Chasm State Reservation for a quick hike and some gorgeous views!
Route 3: Totten Pond Road
Distance: 35.7 miles Estimated Time: 50 minutes
Want to avoid highways altogether? You can take a more scenic route through some small towns and rural areas by taking Totten Pond Road.
Tip: There are plenty of small local businesses to check out on your way, such as Heather Hill Farms or Seafood Express.
Route 4: I-495 N and MA-9 W
Distance: 29.7 miles Estimated Time: 35 minutes
If you want to avoid most of the traffic through Natick, you can travel through the outer ring around Framingham by taking I-495 N and then MA-9 W.
Tip: If you get hungry along the way, be sure to stop at The Grill Next Door, a local favorite for delicious burgers and craft beers.
