From Ohio to South Carolina - What You Need to Know

The quickest way to get to Myrtle Beach from Ashtabula is to take I-76 East to I-77 South. From there, take I-81 South to I-77 again, and then continue onto I-26 all the way to Myrtle Beach. According to Google Maps, this route covers a distance of approximately 785 miles and will take you around 12 hours and 30 minutes. Keep in mind that this assumes no traffic or other unforeseen delays - if you're traveling during peak vacation season, your time on the road could be significantly longer.

The Scenic Route

If you're not in a hurry and want to take in some sights along the way, there are a few longer routes that you could take. One option is to head south on I-71 to Cincinnati, then take I-75 South to Knoxville, TN before continuing onto I-40 East. From there, you can take I-26 East to Myrtle Beach. This route covers approximately 890 miles and will take you around 14 and a half hours. However, you'll get to see some beautiful scenery along the way, especially as you wind through the mountains of Tennessee.

The Slowest Route

If you're really in no rush and want to spend as much time on the road as possible, there's a third option: take Route 6 all the way across Pennsylvania, then head south on I-81 and pick up the same route as the fastest route through Virginia and into South Carolina. This will take you around 16 hours and cover a distance of approximately 950 miles. Of course, this route is not recommended if you're trying to get to Myrtle Beach quickly - but if you're looking for an adventure or just don't mind a long drive, it could be a fun option.
