During peak hours, however, this route should take around 1 hour 15 minutes.
The Long Way Around
If you have more time, you may want to consider taking a longer but beautiful route via the Schuylkill River Trail and the River Road. To get there, take Boyertown Pike, then merge onto PA-100 N, then onto Ridge Rd. Turn left onto PA-23 W/Old Valley Forge Rd, then left onto N Gulph Rd, enter the Schuylkill River Trail, and finally turn right onto River Rd. Total distance for this scenic drive is 42.2 miles. At 25 mph, it should take you approximately 1 hour and 41 minutes in good traffic, but during rush hour, this route can double (or even triple) due to rush hour traffic.
