The Best and Worst Ways to Get From Allentown to Lebanon, NJ
Thinking of driving from Allentown, New Jersey to Lebanon, New Jersey? There are a few different routes you can take, each with its own advantages and drawbacks. But no matter which way you go, it's important to know what to expect in terms of distance and drive time. Here's everything you need to know:
The Fastest Route
The fastest route between Allentown and Lebanon involves taking I-78 West. From Allentown, you'll take exit 49B onto I-78 West. You'll stay on I-78 West for about 23 miles, then take exit 18 towards Annandale/Lebanon. From there, you'll take a few more roads before arriving in Lebanon.
This route is the shortest distance-wise at only 25.3 miles, and it's also the fastest. With no traffic, you can expect to make the drive in just under 30 minutes. Even during peak traffic times, it usually takes less than an hour.
The Scenic Route
If you're in no hurry and want to take the scenic route, taking NJ-31 might be the way to go. From Allentown, simply hop on NJ-31 South. You'll get to enjoy some great views along the way, but keep in mind that this route is a bit longer at 27.2 miles.
Without traffic, this route takes about 40 minutes to complete. During peak traffic times, however, it can take up to an hour and a half. So if time is of the essence, you might want to stick with the faster route.
The Slowest Route
Finally, if you want to take the slowest (but potentially most interesting) route, consider taking County Route 523. This route is definitely the longest at about 28 miles, but it takes you through some beautiful areas of Hunterdon County.
Without traffic, you can expect to make the drive in about 45 minutes. During peak traffic times, however, it can take up to two hours. So if you're in no rush and want to take in the scenery, this might be the way to go.
